The IP/TMT, International Business Law and T.R.A.D.E. Commissions are delighted to welcome you to Porto. From 07-09 October, the city will host the 4th T.R.A.D.E. Annual Conference on retail tech as well as a seminar on IP and technology organised by the IP/TMT and International Business Law Commissions.
The commissions will join forces to discuss:
IP, IT and distribution aspects of the international wine market for wines such as Porto’s famous Port wine (including a tasting);
Software (as a service) contracts;
Open innovation.
In addition, the IP/TMT commission will discuss a range of topics, such as:
Appellations of origin, geographical indications and traditional specialties (such as Porto’s famous Port wine);
Latest developments on Copyright
IP/TMT Litigation and fundamental rights;
Advertising in a digital age.
The T.R.A.D.E. Commission will hold its fourth annual conference in parallel. The programme will deal with hot topics in retail, particularly retail tech, i.e. how technology influences retail and how IT impacts the agreements underlying retail business. Topics will revolve around digitalisation / its impact on distribution, Geo-blocking and omni channel sales. The discussions will also address the European Commission report on the Geo-Blocking Regulation.

AIJA shall not be held liable for any expenses the participant may suffer as the result of participant’s failure to comply with his/her obligations.
It is recommended for each participant to purchase a cancellation and travel insurance.
Please note that in-house counsel registrations are subject to review and confirmation by AIJA. AIJA considers in-house counsel professionals who hold a university degree in law allowing access to a bar association and practicing law as an in-house counsel in private, public, or non-profit companies, institutions or organisations. Please note that in-house counsel who are at the same time active as fee-earning lawyers or consultants are not eligible to the discounted in-house counsel fee.

The seminar will be taking place at Vila Galé Porto. Located in the heart of Porto, a ten-minute walk from the famous shopping street of Rua de Santa Catarina, the Vila Galé Porto hotel was built in 1999 and renovated in 2015. The metro station Campo 24 de Agosto is located just 100 meters from the hotel and it allows you easy and quick access to anywhere in the city and to the airport |

Data relating to your participation in the event shall be stored for a period of 10 years. We are obliged to archive billing data until the end of the period required for our tax and accounting obligations, i.e. for 7 full tax years.
