The Corporate and M&A and the Banking, Finance & Capital Markets (BFCM) commissions are excited to invite you to the joint Venture Capital (VC) and Finance Spring Seminar 2023 in the dynamic city of Barcelona.
From climate change to global health crises, the world faces serious challenges that will require innovations and solutions in every sector. Today’s innovations and problem solvers are also found in the VC ecosystems all around the world, like in one of the most active VC hubs in the EU: Barcelona!
At the first AIJA VC event in years, we will therefore focus on the role of the VC ecosystems in uncertain times. We will also discuss how we as lawyers can contribute and make an impact as much and valuable as possible.
Backed by famous entrepreneurs, investors and other key players, we will discuss and dive deep into the world of Venture Capital. Together we will show how important and powerful this part of today’s global economy is in relation to the challenging times ahead, how we as lawyers can contribute to that and how to protect the ecosystem. All are guaranteed by joint forces of BFCM and M&A commissions.
Alongside the academic programme, our organising committee has put together an exciting social programme featuring the likes of a Run for Peace, an experience of local cuisine and an excursion to one of Cataluña’s most famous vineyards.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow professionals operating in and around venture capital and at the same time to savour the vibrant culture of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.
For those who can extend their stay until Sunday, the organising committee has set up an optional, exclusive dinner in the city on Saturday evening. Also, please note one of the most original celebrations in Catalonia will be taking place in Barcelona on Sunday 23rd: the “Festival of Sant Jordi”. It is a very popular festival that combines culture and romanticism and in which the streets of Barcelona are set filled with book and flower stalls. Lovely day to be in Barcelona too!
We look forward to welcoming you to Barcelona. Save the date!
