Foreign direct investment (FDI) in the ASEAN reached $224 billion in 2022, the highest level ever recorded, and accounting for 17% of global FDI capital. The globalisation of value chains has contributed to the shifting of the global economic centre towards the Asia-Pacific region, sparking increased interest from American and European companies to invest in South East Asia.

In light of the dynamic environment surrounding foreign investment in South East Asia, our engaging panel led by legal experts from various Asian jurisdictions including Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam, will delve into the current trends and future of foreign investment in the region. They will address common challenges faced by foreign investors in the region, explore current investment incentives, explain the investment process and discuss post investment considerations.
