Event Overview

The Working Group on International Business Law and the Young Lawyers Forum of the German Bar Association (DAV) are organising the 6th IWR-Camp in Frankfurt am Main. AIJA acts as a partner of the German Bar Association in this event. AIJA Members are invited to participate and a discounted rate will apply to all AIJA members participating.

The camp includes a workshop on mediation skills for lawyers in international commercial law with Stefan Kessen from Mediator GmbH.

Participants will experience the exciting potential of mediation skills and discover what new options for action lie in interest-oriented communication and negotiation in order to deal more confidently and calmly with challenging (discussion) situations, to be able to bring structure to confusing negotiations, to work out what is really important to their clients, to be able to recognise at the same time what is really important to all other parties involved and to be able to develop solution options that are acceptable to all parties involved and allow them to look to the future.

Using examples and exercises, participants will be able to transfer the insights gained directly into their own everyday work. The workshop takes place on 14/15th February 2025.

The evening before on 13 February, starting from 19.00 CET, an informal dinner will be held together with AIJA as a regional gathering (self-paying) at Restaurant Medici, Weißadlergasse 2, 60311 Frankfurt am Main. The informal gathering can also be attended by all AIJA members not attending the IWR-Camp. Take the opportunity to network with your regional colleagues and perhaps even benefit from the training on the following days.

Registrations for the IWR-Camp and/or the informal dinner are possible via this link. AIJA members can register for the camp at the discounted price also applicable to DAV members.
