Event Overview

At the height of the Vienna ball season, the Lawyers' Ball (Juristenball) is celebrated at Vienna's famous imperial palace (Hofburg).

It has become a tradition that AIJA members and friends visit this unique event together and enjoy a night of splendour, music and dance.

All AIJA members (and of course also former members!) are welcome to join us and to bring their partners and friends along.

For those interested in learning the famous Quadrille dance, that is one of the highlights of every Viennese ball, we will organise a dance class in the afternoon before the ball. Join us and you will see that learning the Quadrille is almost as much fun as participating in it at the ball.

But even if you are not that much into dancing it is worth visiting this unique event to enjoy the imperial setting and the orchestras and bands playing in the magnificent ballrooms.

Note

While former AIJA members are explicitly invited to join and all current and former AIJA members are invited to bring partners and friends along, this event is not intended for participants with no connection to AIJA.

How to join us

Once the ticket sale has started, we will include here a link under which you can book your ticket(s) directly on the ball-website.

You will also be able to book seats at a table, if you wish.

Last year, tickets sold out months before the ball – so please be sure to buy your tickets quickly when the ticket sale starts.

We will also organize a dance class to be held on the day of the ball (14 February 2026) in the afternoon.

In the evening, we will meet for pre-ball drinks and walk to the venue of the ball together.

We will keep you updated!

In the meantime, if you have any questions or already want to confirm your attendance, please send an e-mail to Clara Gordon (clara.gordon@wolftheiss.com)
