Who we are
The Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Commission seeks to engage with its members on issues related to the regulation of banks and other financial intermediaries and the issuance of debt and equity securities.
Thanks to our extensive international network, we have a thorough understanding of the underlying business issues, local considerations and regulatory issues in relation to domestic and cross-border corporate lending transactions, asset finance, fintech, real estate finance, acquisition finance, and project finance.
Our membership has deep knowledge of the latest developments in international capital markets, including debt and equity offerings, IPOs, cross-border listings, public takeovers and other M&A situations, specialised securities (derivatives, securitisation, and structured debt), corporate governance, public company disclosure obligations, and liability management and securities litigation.
Our Commission also monitors developments related to collective investment schemes including private equity, venture capital, mutual funds, and fixed investments.
The Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Commission regularly collaborates with the other Commissions, including the Corporate and M&A Commission, the Tax Law Commission and the International Business Law Commission.
